Dirty Plum

Dirty Plum is a rich plum color.  The color can be worn sheer or very intense.  Be careful because it is very easy to go overboard with Dirty Plum.  I learned this the hard way.  It has an average lasting time of about 8 hours but begin to show signs of wear around 6 hours.

When I first saw this blush it was love at first sight.  Little did I know it would break my heart.  I really want to love this blush but I can’t.  It’s like taking a man back after he leaves you.  Then he leaves you again.  The blush keeps leaving my cheeks.

The blush is a beautiful pink to violet color.  It goes on somewhat shear but buildable.  The color on the skin is awesome.  On my oily cheeks, I get about 2 hours of wear.  I don’t know if it’s the formula or what.

Both blushes are limited editions and were purchased from the Cosmetic Company Outlet.

Review

Red Red Red….. I love Red lipstick.  Russian Red is a blue based matte red lipstick by Mac Cosmetics.  Russian Red is not as blue as Ruby Woo.  It also isn’t as drying.  It is a very comfortable matte lipstick.

I absolutely love this lipstick.  I reach for this lipstick at least 2x a week.

Review

If you like dark vampy colors, this is a great lipstick to try.  In the tube the lipstick looks dark purple; however, on the lips the color varies depending on the light.  Sometimes my lips looked dark purple and other times a deep burgundy.

Packaging

The tube has a sleek black textured tube with Kate Moss written in red.  I really like that the cap snaps shut tight.  The only drawback is that the lipstick doesn’t have names.  The lipsticks are numbered.  For some reason this cheapens the lipsticks to me.

Lasting Power

5 hours

I was able to eat breakfast and my mid morning snack and the lipstick stayed put.  I applied the color at 6:50 am(Yes, I looked at the time).  The lipstick started to show signs of wear and fading around 11:30 am.  This lipstick does stain the lips.  At first color fades down to a nice purple; I did not want to add any lip gloss.  By noon the color changed to a brownish purple.

ELF Blushes Swatches and Review

Elf Blushes

Colors 

  • Giddy Gold: A very shimmery gold.  The blush is very shimmery and can be used as a highlighter.  This blush is powdery and you may experience fallout.  You may look like a disco ball though. 
  • Candid Coral:  Coral with a light gold sheen.  The color can be used as a highlighter.  The color adds sheen/glow to my cheek bone.  The color does not show up on my skin however it does add sheen/glow.  This blush is not chalky. 
  • Blushing Rose:  A brick-red color; very pigmented.
  • Berry Merry:  A deep rose plum color.  The color is buildable.  A very wearable color for any skin tone.
  •  Fuchsia Fusion:  A medium pink color.  The color is very shimmery.  The great thing is a lot of the shimmer does not transfer to the face that bad.  The blush is gritty.  This is not a color I would reach for often/ever. 
  • Pink Passion:  A bright pink matte color.  The blush is gritty and not finely milled.  It’s also very chalky and powdery.  The color does not work for me.
